Hi, I’m Kristen.

Kristen Freeman Wojahn is a Registered Yoga Instructor since 2015 with trauma informed and pre-natal certifications, a corporate marketer turned entrepreneur, community champion, and mental health and trauma advocate. Her purpose is to foster connection to self and others, and bring yoga, somatic movement, meditation and movement into everyday environments with a focus on organizations, teams, philanthropic causes and humans who are committed to wellbeing for all involved.

story, values & training

Born and raised in milwaukee, Kristen grew up as a dancer and a creative at heart. i graduated from the university of wisconsin-madison, and then spent more than two decades at some of the most recognizable brands and a few of the most innovative technology companies in the world, applying my love for driving results through storytelling.

Kristen began practicing yoga in 2005, when she was first drawn to yoga as another path to movement; and quickly discovered the many benefits of the practice both on and off the mat. Her hope is to allow students to let go of their expectations and reach their full potential while also giving themselves grace and patience through their ongoing journey to well-being mentally and physically.

Philosophy

All levels, all abilities, every body, Kristen’s non-studio classes are accessible and available whether your team has never experienced mindful movement, have tried it once, or have a regular yoga or meditation practice. She wants people and organizations to embrace that change and trying new things - or a new PLACE to practice things - can be fun!

Yoga and movement or mindfulness does not need to be complicated. For everyone from those on the manufacturing floor to corporate executives to sales leaders, this isn’t about touching your toes: it’s about feeling connected.

Kristen creates in-person and virtual classes based on the population of attendees and the intention of the class, whether its a regular offering to employees on a weekly or monthly basis, or a special event to build culture or celebrate a milestone. How can each person in class reach their full potential? Using music, movement and understanding what the business or organization is going through, everyone feels more connected to themselves and each other.

Kristen believes the best ideas and opportunities that help us reach our full potential come during moments of inspiration, movement, and connection with nature, music, and the diversity of humanity.

Community Involvement

i live by these values

  • integrity

we do what we say we will do while also giving ourselves grace for having boundaries. we honor commitments as long as they no longer compromise our values or the decision was not made from a place of self sacrifice.

  • equity

we share our gifts with a goal for all to have access and a voice. we strive for balance and reciprocity. all are welcome.

  • kindness

we are kind, not nice, especially to ourselves but always to others. we communicate with clarity.

  • compassion

we believe in non-duality, healthy debate, new perspectives and always empathy.

  • play

we approach life with a smile, opportunities for laughter and make time to connect with others, even when it’s hard

  • rest

we take time to rest and reflect through meditation and time in nature, even if our bodies want us to keep going, as this is what enhances our mental and physical well-being.

  • love

when we love forward and lead with love, especially for ourselves, we show up as our most authentic.

  • continue learning.

    evolve, always.
